Do your Drawdown Calculators take into account the new Drawdown Legilsation changes of 6/4/2011?
Yes, all of our calculators are regularly updated in accorandce with any Legislative changes, including the new Drawdown Legislation of 6/4/2011. Because Selectapension is an online system, all changes are done automatically without the need to install updates.
I've noticed a new question on some of the Drawdown Calculators- "Is income restricted to 100% GAD?" What does this mean?
This relates to the clients' income going forward, and whether this will be restricted to 100% GAD or not, in accordance with the new Drawdown Legislation of 6/4/2011. If yes, the system asks for the Maximum income at last Reference Period Date, and assumes this income is taken until the next review, whereby it will be reduced to 100% GAD.
I've used a Plan Template for my Drawdown Transfer Analysis, and it doesnt seem to be pulling through- why is this?
The most likely reason for this is that your template is based on the Non-Drawdown version of the product.
Can I do a critical yield analysis based on my client's desired level of income?
Yes, you can do this by entering it as a second annuity by clicking on "Include Alternative Annuity" and entering the same annuity details, but clicking "Specify Income Withdrawal," where you can enter the client's desired level of income.
